On our last day in Fujairah, we had a really big breakfast. Charles was being an idiot as usual. We were excited and rested, and ready to take on the big city. I have been to Dubai before, but this time we decided to try I different experience. We were staying at the Radisson Blu Deira Creek for the next three days.
We checked out soon after, said our goodbyes to the lovely people working there and we were on our way!
It was much smaller than our previous room in Fujairah. but it was cozy and modern. Dubai is a place you want to explore, so unless you have been there 10 times before, you have no need to stay in your room all day. There is so much to see!
Do it yourself” cocktails and an amazing cake from their pastry shop at the lobby. That is really a typical Radisson Approach. This came as no surprise, we always feel so welcome by the Blu family.
We had a rest in our room just a little. I really wanted to go and visit the local golden souk. Everyone said I should go there and last year when I was visiting Dubai, I hadn’t had a chance to do it. I seized my opportunity and went with it.
Now as far as Souk goes, I didn’t really feel comfortable there. I felt like all eyes were on me and after 30 minutes I already started going back to the hotel. Dubai is a very safe place so it’s not that I was scared… I was just, uncomfortable. Souk offers everything. There is nothing you cannot buy there. Seriously.
This particular Souk is only a short walk away from the hotel, so we decided to walk back to get the glimpse of our new neighbourhood.
Upon our return to the hotel, we decided to stop by the pub before heading off to have a very special dinner.
Where did we go for dinner? Read it in my next post 😀
